Health Minister Gives Timeline For Controversial Third Way Reforms... "I think it’s clear that's the direction they want to move. I think they're underestimating Albertans and Albertans’ concerns," said NDP MLA Ray Martin. The concern comes today because it’s the last day of the province's consultation process. The process started a month ago, but some say confusion about the province's reforms persist. "This is a phony idea. These consultations were only done because we were nailing them in the legislature," said Ray Martin. The Calgary Health Region spent more than half an hour with the minister outlining its concerns - and its support. "We have a very rapidly growing city. We are very concerned about our ability to sustain service levels and where we have capacity to do more procedures we're interested in looking at how these procedures could be done in the private sector," said Dr. Chris Eagle of the Calgary Health Region. On Wednesday, Health Minister Evans said she didn't know when Albertans would see this controversial legislation. But today, she said it could be by the end of May.
