When they were in opposition, four current Canadian cabinet ministers – Peter MacKay, Gordon O'Connor, Stockwell Day and Vic Toews – expressed interest in Fisher's case, and demanded that he be extradited.

But now that they are in government, Fisher has heard nothing more about his case from the Conservative MPs.

The RCMP and the federal Department of Justice will not comment on Fisher's case.
