True, I've yet to come across another person like my father who was able to "scientifically" prove to himself that the lottery ticket vendor "purposely" sold him only losing tickets, but it's reasonable to assume that if I persist for enough years in my new state as an available woman, it won't be that long until the grumpy-old-man type will start looking like what the future holds in store for me.
